Termite Inspection: Pinpoint inspectors are licensed by the State of New Jersey
to perform wood destroying insect inspections. The inspector will evaluate the
structure for evidence of termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees and powder post
beetles.
Pinpoint inspectors will notify you of any suspect growth while conducting the
home inspection, presenting our clients with an opportunity to save the time and
expense a secondary call to a mold specialist may involve. Air sampling, and
other monitoring by our certified mold inspectors can also be arranged at the
time the home inspection is scheduled.

Failure Analysis & Forensic Engineering: Our staff has provided engineering consulting to the legal and
insurance professions for many years. As part of the engineering team at National Forensic Engineers, Inc.,
we have investigated residential water heater and plumbing failures, boiler malfunctions and freeze/thaw
damage, appliance failures and fires, improper installations and renovations, mechanical and manufacturing
defects.
National Forensic Engineering, Inc. also provides consulting engineering and expert witness testimony in
other disciplines such as architectural and structural failures, vehicle accident investigation and reconstruction,
industrial and OSHA-related safety incidents, slips and falls, as well as other forensic engineering services. For

Radon Testing: Radon is a colorless, odor tasteless gas that occurs naturally in our environment.
It moves through the ground into the home. If the radon level in the home is above the levels
recommended by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), inhaling it can increase
your risk of developing lung cancer. The good news is that high radon levels can be reduced
relatively inexpensively. In fact, the NJ DEP recommends that every home be tested for radon.
As a NJ Certified Radon measurement technician, a Pinpoint inspector places a charcoal adsorption canister in
the home for 2 - 6 days. It is then sent to an independent licensed laboratory for testing. Results and
recommendations are available 24-48 hours from retrieval of the test canister.
